In this role you will be joining a supportive and professional team who currently support four male tāngata.
Our RIDSAS service supports people who have been directed by the courts under the Intellectual Disability (Compulsory Care and Rehabilitation) act.
This type of service supports the mission of Te Roopu Taurima by providing both residential and vocational support with a priority focus on lifestyle and rehabilitation programmes.
You will work alongside our tāngata supporting them in their rehabilitation and journey of change while supporting with every day needs such as bathing, food preparation, administering medication and a variety of other duties which enable an independent and great quality of life.
It’s important to understand this is a whare/home environment for our tāngata so the more you can do to make it feel like a home the better.
We have full time and part time positions available working to a 24/7 roster. Tell us what suits you and what you are looking for and let’s see if we can make it work.

This is an opportunity to start or grow your career in the disability sector; working within RIDSAS will equip you with the experience and skills needed to support rehabilitation. This experience will be underpinned by the qualifications we will support you to gain.
There are many other reasons to consider this role; You may have significant life experience which you believe will have a positive impact on others; you may be tired of manual labour and looking for something more fulfilling; you may be retired or now able to work around other whanau commitments or you may still be studying and just starting out in your career.
Having prior experience in human services, youth/restorative justice or social work would be a definite advantage.

Your skills will include:
